White

The lightest colour there is. having little or no hue owing to reflection of almost all incident light.

Wash

The clothes, sheets, etc. that are washed together, especially in a washing machine.

Whitewash

To make something bad seem acceptable by hiding the truth.

(The picture is of my white wash.)

Example Sentence:-

"The official reaction to the banking crisis has been denounced as a whitewash."

!Note - A whitewash can also be a white liquid that is a mixture of lime or powdered chalk and water, used for making walls or ceilings white.
